Oracle Data Feed Attacks

Mechanism

Oracle data feed attacks represent a specific class of security failures where an adversary intentionally provides false information to a smart contract or decentralized derivative platform. By corrupting the price inputs that trigger liquidation engines or settle options contracts, attackers can force anomalous state transitions within a decentralized system. These manipulations exploit the discrepancy between off-chain market realities and on-chain reference points to extract artificial value from protocols.
