Liquid Staking

Asset

Liquid staking represents a novel approach to asset utilization within the cryptocurrency ecosystem, enabling holders of staked tokens to maintain liquidity while still participating in network consensus. This process involves depositing tokens into a staking protocol and receiving a liquid derivative token representing their staked position, allowing for continued trading, lending, or other DeFi activities. The underlying asset remains secured within the staking protocol, generating rewards that are typically distributed to the holder of the derivative token. Consequently, liquid staking enhances capital efficiency and unlocks new opportunities for yield generation and portfolio diversification.
