Starknet Validity Proofs utilize Zero-Knowledge STARKs (Scalable Transparent ARguments of Knowledge) to cryptographically verify the correctness of off-chain computations performed by the Starknet Layer 2 network. This mechanism allows a single proof to attest to the validity of thousands of transactions, which is then submitted to the Ethereum mainnet. The mainnet contract verifies this proof, ensuring that all transactions within the batch are valid without re-executing them. This process significantly enhances scalability while inheriting Ethereum’s security. It is a powerful cryptographic tool.
