Off-Chain Data Attestation

Mechanism

Off-Chain Data Attestation involves cryptographically proving the authenticity and integrity of data that resides outside a blockchain, without directly storing the data on the ledger. This mechanism typically uses digital signatures from trusted oracles or data providers to attest to the accuracy of external information. A hash of the data or a summary is often recorded on-chain, linking it to its verifiable off-chain source. This bridges the gap between traditional and decentralized data.
