Heat Pipe Technology

Mechanism

Heat pipe technology utilizes a passive, two-phase heat transfer mechanism to efficiently move thermal energy from a heat source to a heat sink. A sealed tube contains a working fluid that vaporizes at the hot end, absorbs latent heat, travels to the cooler end, condenses, releases heat, and returns as liquid via a wick structure. This continuous cycle enables high thermal conductivity. It is a highly efficient thermal transport solution.
