Fragmented Security Models

Model

Fragmented security models describe a situation where different components or layers of a blockchain ecosystem operate under distinct and often incompatible security assumptions or implementations. This can occur in multi-chain environments, layer-2 solutions, or when integrating various decentralized applications. Each component might possess its own cryptographic primitives, consensus mechanisms, or trust assumptions, leading to a patchwork of security postures. Such fragmentation can create complex attack surfaces.
