Bridge Security Concerns

Vulnerability

Cross-chain bridges act as critical infrastructure points that frequently exhibit significant attack surfaces due to the inherent complexity of maintaining consensus across disparate blockchain environments. These architectures often rely on centralized multisig arrangements or complex smart contract logic that creates single points of failure for bad actors to exploit. If a bridge validator set is compromised, the underlying collateral locked within the escrow contracts becomes susceptible to unauthorized withdrawal. This risk directly impacts the solvency of wrapped assets used in decentralized finance, including options and complex derivatives.
