Rollup Security

Mechanism

Rollup security refers to the mechanism by which layer-2 solutions inherit the security guarantees of the underlying layer-1 blockchain. This process involves publishing transaction data from the rollup to the layer-1 chain, where it is verified by the base layer’s validators. The security model ensures that the rollup’s state transitions are valid and that assets cannot be stolen or manipulated without a corresponding action on the layer-1 chain.
