Relayer Network Attacks

Architecture

Relayer network attacks exploit the middleware layer responsible for broadcasting signed transactions to a blockchain, specifically targeting the off-chain components of decentralized exchanges or derivative protocols. These vulnerabilities arise when relayers manipulate the order flow or withhold transaction data to front-run users or execute malicious orders before they are finalized on-chain. Such disruptions compromise the integrity of cross-chain bridges and decentralized finance platforms by introducing artificial latency or transaction censorship.
