Proof-of-Stake Finality

Finality

Proof-of-Stake finality refers to the point at which a transaction on a PoS blockchain is considered irreversible, typically achieved through a supermajority vote by validators. Unlike probabilistic finality in Proof-of-Work systems, PoS finality provides a strong economic guarantee that a transaction cannot be reversed without a significant, pre-defined penalty to the validators involved. This mechanism enhances security and reduces settlement risk for financial applications.
