Oracle Redundancy

Architecture

Oracle redundancy, within decentralized systems, represents the deployment of multiple, independent oracle networks to provide the same data feed. This mitigates systemic risk associated with single points of failure inherent in relying on a solitary external data source. Consequently, smart contracts can aggregate responses, employing mechanisms like medianization or weighted averages, to enhance data integrity and reliability. The design aims to minimize the impact of malicious or compromised oracles on downstream applications, particularly within decentralized finance.
