MEV Risk Management

Risk

MEV risk management addresses the potential for validators and searchers to extract value by reordering, inserting, or censoring transactions within a block. This risk manifests as front-running, where a searcher observes a pending transaction and executes a similar trade first to profit from the price movement. Sandwich attacks are another form of MEV where a searcher places transactions both before and after a user’s trade to capture the price difference. These predatory practices reduce user profitability and increase execution costs.
