MEV Regulation

Regulation

MEV Regulation, within cryptocurrency markets, addresses the extraction of value from the ordering of transactions within a blockchain. It aims to mitigate the negative externalities arising from Maximal Extractable Value, where searchers exploit sequencing opportunities to profit at the expense of other users, impacting network stability and fairness. Current approaches focus on mechanisms to internalize MEV, such as through specialized auction formats or protocol-level changes that redistribute profits, thereby reducing incentives for disruptive behavior.
