LP Position

Definition

An LP Position, or Liquidity Provider Position, represents a stake held by an individual or entity in a decentralized exchange’s (DEX) liquidity pool. By providing a pair of assets, typically in a 50/50 ratio, LPs contribute to the pool’s depth, enabling other users to trade between those assets. This position grants the LP a share of the trading fees generated by the pool. It is fundamental to the operation of automated market makers.
