Financial Data Theft

Vulnerability

Financial data theft within cryptocurrency markets involves the unauthorized acquisition of private keys, exchange API credentials, or wallet seeds required to execute illicit transfers. This compromise often stems from sophisticated phishing campaigns, malware injection targeting trading terminals, or exploitations of insecure cloud storage housing sensitive private data. Once attackers gain entry to these repositories, they can initiate unauthorized withdrawals or alter order routing to drain liquidity from connected brokerage accounts or decentralized finance protocols.
