BFT Consensus

Protocol

Byzantine Fault Tolerance (BFT) consensus refers to a class of protocols designed to ensure a distributed network can reach agreement on a single state, even when a certain number of nodes act maliciously or fail. Unlike Proof-of-Work, BFT protocols typically achieve finality much faster by relying on a pre-selected set of validators to vote on proposed blocks. This mechanism is essential for high-throughput blockchain architectures that support complex financial applications and derivatives trading.
