Anti-MEV Designs

Mechanism

Anti-MEV designs are architectural and protocol-level adjustments implemented within decentralized finance (DeFi) to mitigate the negative externalities of Maximal Extractable Value (MEV). These mechanisms aim to reduce the profitability of front-running, sandwich attacks, and other forms of transaction reordering that exploit information asymmetry in public mempools. By altering the transaction ordering process, these designs seek to create a more equitable execution environment for all market participants.
