Staking Bonding Periods

Staking bonding periods are mandatory timeframes during which staked assets are locked and cannot be withdrawn or transferred. These periods ensure that validators have "skin in the game" and cannot immediately abandon their duties, which maintains network stability.

During this time, the assets remain active in the consensus process, contributing to the security of the blockchain. Unbonding periods, which occur after a user decides to stop staking, prevent sudden mass withdrawals that could destabilize the validator set.

These constraints require investors to plan their liquidity needs carefully, as their capital is effectively illiquid for the duration of the lock-up.
