Validium Systems Security

Architecture

Validium Systems Security represents a Layer-2 scaling solution for blockchains, primarily Ethereum, leveraging zero-knowledge proofs to ensure data availability and validity off-chain. This architecture fundamentally decouples execution from settlement, enabling significantly higher transaction throughput compared to the base layer. Data is stored off-chain, but cryptographic proofs, such as KZG commitments, are posted on-chain to guarantee the integrity of state transitions. Consequently, Validium systems offer enhanced scalability while maintaining a high degree of security, albeit with a reliance on a trusted data availability committee.
Contract State A smooth, dark form cradles a glowing green sphere and a recessed blue sphere, representing the binary states of an options contract.
