Private Relays Auction

Mechanism

A private relays auction is a competitive process where block builders or searchers bid to have their bundles of transactions included in a block by a designated block proposer, bypassing the public mempool. This mechanism is central to mitigating Maximal Extractable Value (MEV) extraction by front-running. Participants submit sealed bids to a trusted relay, which then forwards the most profitable bundle to the proposer. This process aims to create a more equitable transaction ordering environment.
