Oracle Node Collusion

Mechanism

Oracle node collusion represents a systemic vulnerability where a subset of decentralized price feed providers coordinate to submit synchronized, fraudulent data to a smart contract. By manipulating reported asset prices, these participants can force artificial liquidations within undercollateralized derivative positions or trigger disadvantageous strike price executions for options traders. This intentional deviation from market reality undermines the integrity of on-chain financial instruments by compromising the underlying spot price reference points.
