Non Interoperable Blockchains

Architecture

Non interoperable blockchains represent distinct, isolated ledger systems lacking native communication protocols with other blockchain networks. This fundamental separation limits the seamless transfer of digital assets or information between these chains, creating siloed ecosystems. Consequently, applications requiring cross-chain functionality necessitate complex and often centralized intermediary solutions, increasing counterparty risk and reducing efficiency. The design constraint impacts the scalability of decentralized finance (DeFi) and hinders the development of truly interconnected financial instruments.
