## Underwriter Incentives

Underwriter incentives are the economic rewards provided to market participants who assume the risk of potential protocol losses. In decentralized insurance or backstop funds, these underwriters provide the capital necessary to cover bad debt in exchange for a share of protocol fees or token rewards.
