## TWAP Strategies

TWAP, or Time Weighted Average Price, is an execution algorithm that breaks an order into smaller, equal-sized parts to be executed at regular time intervals. Unlike VWAP, which relies on volume, TWAP focuses purely on the passage of time.

This strategy is used to minimize the market impact of large orders by spreading the execution evenly throughout the day. It is a passive approach that assumes the market will absorb the volume without significant price shifts if the trades are small enough.

TWAP is widely used in crypto markets to exit large positions without triggering sudden price drops.
