Time-Lock Security
Time-lock security is a mechanism that enforces a delay between the initiation of an administrative action and its execution. When an upgrade or sensitive change is proposed, it must wait for a predefined period, such as 48 hours, before it can be applied.
This delay gives the community and security researchers time to inspect the proposed changes and react if they appear malicious. If a proposal is deemed harmful, users have a window to withdraw their funds or take other protective measures.
Time-locks are a powerful tool for increasing the cost and difficulty of governance attacks. They provide a critical layer of defense for protocols that prioritize user safety and transparency.
