## Stop Loss Orders

Stop loss orders are instructions to sell or buy an asset once it reaches a specific price, designed to limit an investor's potential loss. In volatile markets like crypto, these orders are crucial for managing risk and protecting capital from sudden downward moves.

When a stop loss is triggered, it automatically executes a market order, which can contribute to downward price pressure if many such orders are triggered at the same time. This can lead to a feedback loop where stop losses trigger more selling, causing prices to drop further.
