Stakeholder Alignment
Stakeholder alignment is the process of ensuring that the incentives of all participants in a protocol ⎊ developers, users, investors, and liquidity providers ⎊ are synchronized toward the long-term success of the network. When incentives are misaligned, participants may act in ways that are detrimental to the protocol, such as extracting value at the expense of others or prioritizing short-term gains.
Alignment is achieved through tokenomics, where the distribution and utility of the native token reward behaviors that contribute to the protocol's health. It also involves clear communication of the project's vision and goals through governance.
Without strong alignment, a decentralized project is likely to fragment or fail. It is the intangible glue that holds a decentralized community together.
