Risk-Free Asset Yield

The risk-free asset yield represents the base return earned on the portion of the portfolio allocated to safety. In the context of cryptocurrency, this is typically generated through stablecoin lending protocols or staking mechanisms.

This yield contributes to the growth of the floor, effectively allowing the strategy to withstand more market volatility over time. A higher risk-free yield provides a larger buffer for the CPPI strategy.

However, investors must assess the smart contract risk and protocol stability associated with the yield source. If the yield source fails, the risk-free asset may no longer be risk-free.

The selection of this asset must balance yield generation with counterparty and technical risk. It is a fundamental component of the portfolio growth engine.
