Redemption Logic Risks

Redemption logic risks are the dangers associated with the process of converting a wrapped asset back into its native counterpart. This requires the bridge to burn the wrapped token and release the locked underlying asset.

If the logic governing this process is flawed, it may result in tokens being permanently locked or assets being sent to the wrong address. Furthermore, if the bridge lacks the necessary liquidity or if the validator set is compromised during the redemption, users may find themselves unable to exit their positions.

This creates a significant counterparty risk, as the user is effectively reliant on the bridge's ongoing operation and solvency to reclaim their original capital.
