Quote Stuffing Analysis

Quote stuffing analysis detects the practice of flooding an exchange with a high volume of orders and cancellations to create latency for other participants. By overwhelming the order processing engine, the perpetrator gains an unfair speed advantage.

Metrics monitor the message-to-trade ratio and the processing time for legitimate orders during periods of high activity. If the network experiences deliberate congestion caused by a single participant, it is flagged as quote stuffing.

This practice is a direct attack on market microstructure and is strictly monitored to maintain exchange performance. Identifying these patterns is essential for ensuring that all traders have equal access to the order book and that price discovery remains accurate.
