Profit Realization

Profit realization is the process of closing a trade that is in a gain position. Until this is done, the profit is merely "unrealized" or "on paper." Realizing profit is important for confirming the success of a trade and for moving the money into the account's cash balance.

It requires discipline and adherence to a trading plan.
