## Price Equilibrium

Price equilibrium is the theoretical state where the quantity of an asset demanded by buyers equals the quantity supplied by sellers. At this point, the market price remains stable as there is no pressure for it to rise or fall.

In reality, markets are rarely in perfect equilibrium; they are constantly shifting as new information, sentiment, and liquidity flows enter the system. Price discovery is the continuous process of searching for this elusive equilibrium point.

When a market is in equilibrium, the bid-ask spread is typically stable, and order flow is balanced. Traders and analysts look for signs of returning to equilibrium after periods of extreme volatility, as these moments often signal the start of a new, more sustainable trend.
