Permissionless Asset Management

Permissionless Asset Management refers to the ability for any user to create, manage, or invest in financial portfolios without needing approval from a central authority. In the context of blockchain, this is achieved through smart contracts that allow for the transparent and automated execution of investment strategies.

Anyone can deploy a vault, set a strategy, and invite others to deposit funds, or they can choose to invest in existing strategies that are fully transparent on the ledger. This democratizes access to financial management, allowing for a global pool of talent to compete in creating the most effective strategies.

It also eliminates the barriers to entry associated with traditional asset management, such as high minimum investments or geographic restrictions. However, it also places the burden of due diligence on the individual, as there is no central regulator to oversee the safety or performance of these products.
