## Pending Transaction

A pending transaction is a transaction that has been broadcast to the network but has not yet been included in a block. During this state, the transaction sits in the mempool awaiting selection by a block builder.

The user can often modify the gas price of a pending transaction to speed up its inclusion or cancel it entirely. This transparency allows for monitoring and potential front-running by sophisticated actors.

A pending transaction is not yet final, meaning the state change it represents has not been permanently recorded on the blockchain.
