Oracle Node Incentives

Oracle node incentives are the economic mechanisms designed to motivate nodes to provide accurate and timely data to the blockchain. These incentives typically involve payments in native tokens or rewards from the protocol using the data.

Conversely, nodes may face penalties or slashing of staked assets if they provide incorrect or malicious data. This dual-sided approach aligns the interests of the node operators with the security and health of the protocol.

Without proper incentives, nodes might not be motivated to maintain high-quality infrastructure. Designing these incentives is a complex task that requires balancing profitability with risk management.
