Network Bootstrap
Network bootstrap is the initial phase of launching a new blockchain or protocol where the system aims to attract participants, liquidity, and security. This process often involves incentive programs, token distributions, or mechanisms like Proof of Burn to gain initial traction.
The goal is to overcome the cold-start problem, where a network has little value because it has few users. Successful bootstrapping creates a network effect, where the utility of the system grows as more participants join.
This phase is highly competitive and often determines the long-term viability of a project. It requires a well-designed economic model to attract early adopters while maintaining long-term sustainability.
