Mempool Observability

Mempool observability refers to the transparency of pending transactions waiting to be processed by a blockchain network. Because most blockchains are public ledgers, anyone can monitor the mempool to see unconfirmed transactions.

This visibility is the primary source of data for MEV searchers who analyze the flow to identify profitable opportunities. By observing incoming trades, searchers can calculate potential slippage or arbitrage gaps.

While this transparency fosters network auditability, it also exposes users to adversarial order flow manipulation. Reducing this observability is a core challenge in modern protocol design.
