Liquid Assets

Liquid assets are assets that can be quickly converted into cash without a significant loss in value. In a trading account, cash and highly liquid stocks are examples.

Having a sufficient portion of liquid assets is critical for meeting margin calls and for taking advantage of new trading opportunities. It is the basis for account liquidity.
