Leverage Factor
The leverage factor, or multiplier, is the degree to which an investor is using borrowed money to control a position. A leverage factor of 5 means the trader is controlling 5 times the value of their equity.
Higher leverage factors increase the potential returns and the potential for rapid losses, making them a primary driver of account risk.
