Heuristic address linking is a method of grouping blockchain addresses by identifying common spending patterns or transaction behaviors. This approach uses logical rules to infer that addresses involved in the same transaction or displaying similar activity are controlled by the same entity.

For example, if a transaction has multiple inputs from different addresses, heuristics suggest these addresses belong to the same wallet owner. While not always 100% accurate, it provides a high-probability estimate for mapping network activity.
