Good Till Cancelled

Good Till Cancelled is an order duration instruction that keeps a pending order active in the market until it is either fully executed or manually cancelled by the trader. Unlike day orders, which expire at the end of the trading session, GTC orders persist across multiple sessions.

This provides traders with the flexibility to set up long-term entry or exit strategies without needing to re-enter the order daily. It is a standard feature on most crypto exchanges, allowing for set-and-forget trading.

However, traders must remain aware of these open orders, as market conditions can change significantly while they are active. Failing to monitor GTC orders can lead to unintended trades if the market price unexpectedly hits the limit level.

It is a tool for patience and disciplined execution in volatile markets.
