## Gamma Scalping

Gamma scalping is an active trading strategy employed by option traders to profit from the convexity of their positions. Gamma represents the rate of change of an option's delta, indicating how much the delta will shift for a given move in the underlying asset price.

Traders who are long gamma benefit from large price swings, as their delta increases when the price rises and decreases when it falls. To capture this profit, the trader must continuously rebalance their delta-neutral hedge by buying or selling the underlying asset.

When the market moves significantly, the trader sells high and buys low to reset the hedge, effectively harvesting the gamma. This strategy is highly dependent on market volatility and the ability to execute trades with minimal slippage.
