## Fair Value Pricing

Fair Value Pricing is the calculation of an asset's intrinsic value based on fundamental data, such as discounted cash flows or, in crypto, network usage and tokenomics. It provides a benchmark against which market prices can be compared.

When the market price deviates significantly from the fair value, it may signal an overvaluation or undervaluation. Derivatives pricing models, such as Black-Scholes, also use fair value to determine the theoretical price of options.

This process is essential for risk management and identifying investment opportunities. It bridges the gap between market speculation and long-term economic reality.

It is a critical component of fundamental analysis.
