Emergency Funding Liquidity
Emergency funding liquidity refers to the availability of immediate, highly liquid capital that can be deployed to meet urgent margin calls or take advantage of sudden market opportunities. This capital is kept separate from active trading funds and is typically held in the most liquid assets possible, such as cash or top-tier stablecoins, on an exchange or in a cold wallet with rapid transfer capabilities.
The goal is to ensure that when a crisis hits, the trader has the means to act decisively to save their positions or capitalize on forced liquidations of others. Without this "dry powder," a trader is at the mercy of the market, unable to defend their positions or execute their contingency plans.
