Continuous Vesting
Continuous vesting is a model where tokens are released to a recipient in real-time, often block-by-block, rather than in periodic batches. This approach ensures that the recipient has immediate access to the portion of their tokens that has vested at any given moment.
It is the most granular form of vesting, providing the highest level of fairness and liquidity for the token holder. From a market perspective, it is the least disruptive method because the supply increases by a tiny, constant amount with every block.
This prevents the market volatility associated with large, discrete unlock events. Many modern protocols prefer continuous vesting to align with the real-time nature of blockchain technology.
It simplifies the accounting for both the project and the recipient, as there are no cliff periods or complex schedules to track. It represents the pinnacle of programmatic, transparent asset distribution.
