## Autocallable Note

An autocallable note is a structured financial product that provides a coupon payment to the investor provided the underlying asset stays within a certain range or above a specific level. If the asset price hits a predetermined threshold on a specific observation date, the note is automatically called, meaning it matures early and returns the principal plus a predefined return.

These products are popular in crypto-wealth management as they offer yield enhancement in sideways or moderately bullish markets. However, they carry significant downside risk, as the investor may be exposed to the full loss of the underlying asset if the price drops below a protection barrier at maturity.

The path-dependent nature arises from the periodic observation dates and the potential for early redemption. Investors must evaluate the credit risk of the issuer alongside the market risk of the underlying crypto asset.
