Yield-Generating Underwriting

Mechanism

Yield-generating underwriting refers to the process where participants provide capital to decentralized insurance protocols, simultaneously earning a yield on their deposited funds while also taking on the risk of covering potential claims. The mechanism involves pooling capital from underwriters, which is then deployed into various yield-bearing strategies, such as lending protocols or liquidity provision. A portion of the generated yield, along with premiums from policyholders, compensates the underwriters for the risk assumed.
