Wallet Permission Risks

Mechanism

Wallet permission risks emerge when users grant excessive approval to smart contracts, enabling third-party entities to move or liquidate assets without further authorization. These vulnerabilities often manifest in the context of DeFi protocols where unlimited token allowances are requested to optimize transaction flow and gas efficiency. Once an application is compromised or malicious, the lack of granular limits allows an attacker to drain the entire vault or collateral balance associated with that specific digital asset.
