Validity proof finality refers to the immediate and cryptographic assurance that a batch of transactions processed off-chain, typically within a zero-knowledge rollup, is undeniably correct. This is achieved because a succinct validity proof, generated by a prover, is submitted to the main chain and cryptographically verified. Once this proof is accepted, the state transition it attests to is considered final and irreversible. This provides a strong guarantee of computational integrity. It eliminates the need for a challenge period.
