Solver-Based Auctions

Mechanism

Solver-based auctions are a sophisticated mechanism used in decentralized finance to optimize transaction execution and mitigate Maximal Extractable Value (MEV) extraction. In this model, users submit their orders to a network of specialized entities called “solvers” rather than directly to the public mempool. Solvers compete to find the most efficient way to bundle and execute these transactions, often by solving complex optimization problems to minimize slippage and gas costs.
